The Matchless Company was founded by Henry Herbert Collier and it was managed by Henry and his three sons, all of the sons being capable engineers and successful motorcycle racers in their own right. This is the story of their personal history and achievements from its founding as Matchless in 1891 to the final closure of the AMC factory in 1969.
